Clifton doesn’t have any shops and restaurants in the area but it’s neighbouring suburb, Camps Bay has a strip running along the beach with some of the coolest, most exclusive bars and restaurants, such as Cafe Caprice where local and international celebrities love to hang out. As well as Cause Effect Cocktail Kitchen which is rated as one of the 100 most outstanding bars in the world! There is also a Pick ’n Pay and a Woolworths for everyday grocery shopping. Further down the opposite direction, past Bantry Bay, lies Sea Point where you will find an endless list of restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, etc.
Clifton is a very safe area, with most of the homes fitted with surveillance cameras, alarm systems, security companies on site, etc. for additional safety of guests. However, as with most beaches, do be on the lookout for randoms wanting to steal phones, wallets, etc.
Some of the favourite schools for residents in Clifton are the likes of Camps Bay Primary and High School, Reddam House Constantia, as well as in Green Point, The German International school in Gardens, and the French international school in Sea Point.
